It’s going to be a long time until May 20.
As David Letterman prepares to end his 33-year tenure as the kingpin of late night television, the stars continue to line up to pay tribute to the host.
Billy Crystal on Tuesday’s broadcast announced he couldn’t put into words his admiration for Letterman, so instead launched into a musical tribute.

The musical number traversed through Letterman’s personal and professional life, from referencing his bypass surgery “proving you actually had a heart” through to mentioning Madonna’s swearing and Drew Barrymore flashing her breasts.
The tribute, set to the tune of Sunrise, Sunset from 1964 musical Fiddler on the Roof, also included a jibe at the current array of late-night hosts.
“Now late nights’ jammed with all the Jimmys, they’re just princes, you’re the king.”
